Is your “Production System” limiting your Production & Revenues?

De-bottlenecking Compressors; Cost Effective way to Increase Production
Gas Compressors, whilst consuming a vast amount of power (anything between 20 to 80 MW often more) are a common cause of production bottleneck of an oil and gas production facility. Unless the compressor designs are optimised for the current operating conditions, they will limit production by restricting flows and discharge pressures or surging during operations.
But how do you determine if compressors are the real bottleneck? This requires determining the current compressor performance accurately and comparing it with the original design.
MSE Consultants Ltd, independent engineering consultants (with no affiliation to any manufacturer, contractor or service company) have developed procedures to remotely test the performance of your production system including centrifugal compressors. Where necessary we optimise compressor design and help in their implementation leading to production increase.
In one project our recommendations, when implemented, lead to increased production by 23%.
We have completed over 350 projects many of these in successful operations.

ADVANCE YOUR CAREER - UNIQUE TRAINING COURSE ON CENTRIFUGAL PROCESS GAS COMPRESSORS
Wednesday, December 2, 2009, 12:06
Knowledge of centrifugal process gas compressors is highly valued and will advance your career in many process industries including oil & gas, petro-chemicals, refinery, LNG, gas pipelines and storage. The work is challenging and with experience in this field you will become a sought after professional with improved job and pay prospects.
MSE, a specialist consultancy with 20 years experience in this field is offering a course to help you acquire this knowledge. You will learn compressor thermodynamics, application engineering, design knowhow, operation, testing and trouble-shooting. The course also includes process and surge control systems & dynamic simulation of compressors.

Delegate Feedback - GCT2 & GCC2 Training Courses
Friday, October 30, 2009, 11:08
MSE successfully hosted the Gas Compressor Technology (GCT2) and Gas Compressor Controls (GCC2) training courses during October 2009.
Delegates commented:-
"Seeing a "live" demonstration of a dynamic simulation model is a modern example of a picture telling a thousand words. Understanding its capabilities will help me maximise the benefits of such studies to the projects I am involved with".
Representative from BP
"The Course has been very well designed to take you from the very basic concepts to advanced applications of compressor design, operation and troubleshooting.Dr Akhtar's vast experience helps also when you have to discuss specific problems related to your plant/machine."
Representative from BG
Due to significant interest, GCT2 and GCC2 courses are already being planned for 2010. If you require further information please email info@mse.co.uk or visit our website (www.mse.co.uk).
