Gas turbines and compressors are critical pieces of equipment and their smooth operation is vital to the productivity and profitability of your operation. MSE's field testing and performance monitoring capability allows you to detect any deterioration in the performance of the internal components of your gas turbines and process compressors. This is of critical importance in developing effective, best-value maintenance approaches.

We have designed and developed software to assist our experienced engineers in evaluating the performance of your process machinery. It monitors the thermodynamic performance of your centrifugal compressors and gas turbines at each measurable point in the thermodynamic cycle, all in real-time. Their performance is normalised and compared with the design.

Gas turbine failure is normally preceded by gradual but undetected performance degradation of the engine components. This cumulative degradation can lead, if unchecked, to eventual engine failure. MSE has identified the key parameters for engine health monitoring and developed ‘indices’ to monitor and alert the you to any performance degradation before physical failure can occur.

MSE’s performance monitoring system can also be linked to our steady-state simulation software module. This uses the equipment performance and health indices to forecast your production levels and enables you to perform ‘what if’ scenarios.
