Networking and Pipelines

GASMAN's gathering system allows complex multi-pipeline networks to be simulated. Various pressure loss correlations may be applied, such as friction-factor and Weymouth. Allowance is made for sink temperatures (sea, ground or air) and pipeline surface roughness as well as elevation changes.

Key fluid properties in each pipeline segment are obtained from equations of state - representing changes caused by pressure and temperature changes through the pipeline.

Compositional calculations are made at each node and pipeline junction, making the requisite changes when streams of differing compositions are commingled.
