Each project involving the modeling of known
reservoirs by material balance is commenced with history
matching to production/injection histories. Pressure matching is
demonstrated through alignment to either measured pressure
records or to reservoir pressure profiles generated in
third-party software suites.
Well flow and pressure histories may be handled electronically
in many formats, for example Excel, .CSV or .txt.
Through MSE's experience of reservoir tank delineation, very
close matches to measured records and those generated by
industry standard software packages are achieved.
Having demonstrated close alignment to reservoir pressure
histories, MSE engineers are then able to rigorously predict
future reservoir conditions and their effect on topsides
operations.
