Gas Turbine "design power output" is very
sensitive to ambient temperatures and its operating speed.
Engine output declines with the engine operating hours. Some
of the power loss can be recovered with compressor washing.
However, the "actual engine output" in the field is affected
by a number of other factors
which are difficult to ascertain such as:
