New oil and gas fields are becoming
increasingly harder to find. More and more of the world's
oil and gas production is derived from existing fields. As
oil and gas fields mature, operating companies face growing
challenges in maintaining their oil and gas production
targets. Due to reservoir depletion, surface production
facilities also suffer from lower production due to
operation at non-optimum conditions away from the original
design. Increasingly heavy machinery and especially gas
compressors, turbines, turbo-generators and the associated
process systems become the bottlenecks; equipment failures
and loss of performance.
Experience has shown that the Re-design & Optimisation of
the Gas Compression Systems is the most practicable and cost
effective way to reverse this trend and increases production
rates from Mature Fields. However re-designing the
compression system is a challenging task and requires
experience, practical know-how and tools to achieve success. |
