Overview

Aimed at process, petroleum, and other engineers engaged in the design of processing facilities, Pro-M can rapidly evaluate a number of your process options on a consistent basis. 

Pro-M allows for the optimisation of your compressors for a given set of process conditions by giving the highest achievable efficiency while minimising the power and driver rating for a centrifugal compressor.

Pro-M covers a vast range of applications commonly found in the industry including:

  • Oil and gas separation
  • Well head gas compression
  • Pipelines and gas export
  • Gas lift, injection and refrigeration
  • Refineries, petrochemical plant and air compression systems

Pro-M is a general-purpose application program and requires no mechanical data to be entered. For a given set of process data i.e. pressures, temperature, flow and gas composition, it identifies the optimum compressor design with a full performance set.

Equation of State

Pro-M
includes 32 gases common in the oil and gas processing industries. It uses a Benedict Web Rubin and Starling (BWRS) equation of state for gas and gas mixtures. BWRS has been thoroughly tested and is regularly used by compressor manufacturers.
